What Turns a Woman On: 7 Scientifically Proven Tricks that Does

You will agree with me that ‘What turns a woman on?’ is a topic surrounded by endless debates with many unjustifiable findings.

Most studies have ended up raising the curiosity even more other than providing accurate and dependable answers. Celebrated authors, artists, bloggers, actors, musicians, etc. have done their best to advocate their findings, but none has stood the test of time.

If a woman was to believe men’s magazines, then a sweaty makeout session is enough to turn her on to the point of no return.

Moreover, a dick dipped in a jar of Nutella would appetize a luscious mouth to perform an award winning blowjob. Then what happens when we put a firm belief in women’s magazines?

Would we see women wanting to fellate bananas? It turns out that if we believed fan fiction which is predominantly written by women, women want to see a combination of Himeros, the Greek god of sexual desire, and Eros, the Greek god of love making out.

In all likelihood, science has drawn us closer to more accurate answers as to what turns a woman on.

Instead of burying our precious heads into books and articles backed with no scientific proof, below we outline the 7 tips that perfectly turn women on:

What Turns a Woman On: Scientifically Proven Facts

Nothing, but a completely naked man!

what turns a woman on

According to a study authored by Gerulf Rieger from the University of Essex psychology department, 345 women participated in a sexual study where factors like pupil dilation were measured.

The women were exposed to various video clips and images of nude women, men, sexual scenes, etc.

Eighty-two percent of the female participants exhibited arousal whereby 74 % were aroused by both sexes. The results from the study concluded that most women are either bisexual or gay but are never straight.

In a similar study conducted by Dr. Meredith Chivers - a top investigator in female sexuality research, both straight and gay women were turned on by almost everything even mating apes.

The study, however, found out that muscled naked men did not turn women on. In conclusion, Chivers was convinced that women respond to a broad array of stimuli than they are aware of.

Ten-day-old beards:

Check out this interesting survey about beards done by Youtuber Doc Testosterone:

According to a recent study report on Evolution and Human Behavior published in April 2016, straight women are more appealed to men with beards.

The study confirmed that 10-day stubble and full beards were most attractive to women than any other type of beards.

The study conducted at the University of New South Wales brought together men and women to rate the attractiveness of unlike facial hair growth (clean-shaven, five-day stubble, 10-day stubble, full beards).

Men gave a positive rating for the clean-shaven look, while women rated the clean-shaven look as unattractive.

While the study did not show photos of upturned mustaches famous with the Victorian-era oil barons, the research also found out that women perceive full-bearded men as better and more protective fathers.

The names Jack, James and Ryan:

Forget the sweet names you use to refer to your girlfriend. If you are not called Jack, James or Ryan, you better understand ‘What’s in a name?’ There seems to be a lot to study about names.

Richard Wiseman surveyed more than 6,000 people in the U.K. in order to determine what names are associated with attractiveness, success, and luck. The results from “The Name Experiment,” which Wiseman presented at the 2008 Edinburgh International Science Festival had stunning results.

Women found Ryan to be the most attractive name, followed by James and Jack.

For women, men found the names Olivia, Rachel and Sophie to be the babeliest.

The least attractive names for men were Peter, Thomas and George, and for women, Ann, Helen and Jane. James was found to be the name most associated with success, probably the reason we still listen to ‘Fire and Rain’ and ‘Shower the People’ by James Taylor.

Richard also noted that “Women shared strong opinions about names, whereas men are more even-handed.”

Gasoline, leather, printer ink:

A survey by soap company Daz that involved 2,000 participants confirmed that British women are turned on by the odor of leather, gasoline, paint, and printer ink–while men are turned on by the scent of lipstick, baby lotion or a roast dinner.

While the sensual potential of printer ink has been exhaustively documented (PUT IT IN MY TRAY), we have no idea how Daz came to these conclusions.

However, critics may argue that the researchers were trying to get women high on gasoline, leather, and ink in the name of science.

Not penile thrusting:

what turns a woman on

Results from a 1984 study on erotic sensitivity of the vagina by a team of Colombian researchers paid 16 prostitutes and 32 feminists and manually stimulated their vaginal walls in a lab.

Heli Alzate, a physician and professor of sexology, performed the “frictioning” to the sex workers and Mari Ladi Londoño, a psychotherapist, jerked off the feminists.

The results found that more than three-quarters of the prostitutes had an orgasm, as opposed to only one in eight feminists.

While the study may portray the researchers as studying who gets off easiest, their main concern was to establish whether penile thrusting is an effective way to bring about orgasm. Surprise! It’s not. Though, it appears like getting jerked off by a new man is easier if you’re a sex worker.

“Sex workers and feminists are not mutually exclusive. Many sex workers are feminists. The feminists also complained that Londoño wasn’t doing it “hard enough.”

Good ‘n’ Plenty Candy:

As we wrote earlier, ladies are not necessarily excited by the fragrance of male cologne. So, men you should keep your expensive perfumes to yourselves.

According to a study from the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago, men should try something else other than the Axe Body Spray as it repels women.

Shockingly! “Men’s colognes actually reduced vaginal blood flow.” Foundation director Al Hirsch arrived at this conclusion by placing surgical masks scented with 10 different aromas on the ladies.

The ladies were then hooked up to a vaginal photoplethysmograph to determine what scents turned them on.

The conclusion was that, women respond most to a mixture of cucumber and Good ‘n’ Plenty candy.

Cologne, the scent of cherry and “charcoal barbeque meat” turn them off. While we may modestly disagree with science, this Hawaiian Mushroom makes women orgasm by just smelling it.

Tooth-brushing:

An amazing Case study report caught our attention back in 2003 where a 41-year-old Taiwanese woman experienced orgasm once or twice a week from brushing her teeth (followed by a mild non-convulsive seizure).

Neurologists at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital were puzzled and conducted a number of tests on the woman. Initially, they thought it was the smell of toothpaste that triggered the orgasms but, it wasn’t.

Maybe because it lacked the Good ‘n’ Plenty flavor. Then they gently poked her gums with chopsticks, and finally made her move her fist back and forth in front of her face in a “tooth-brushing motion.”

It was then they discovered that the “highly specific somatosensory stimulus” of tooth-brushing made her experience orgasms. Her disbelief and thoughts of being possessed by a demon made her switch to mouthwash and quit ‘toothbrush orgasms.’

Various studies have confirmed that women are capable of orgasming from simply THINKING about it, nipple stimulation, exercising, and even giving birth!

This is why you should talk about sex and orgasms:

  • You will be more free with each other
  • It makes the relationship healthy
  • It will enable you to know where to touch, how touch for an explosive orgasm
