A Guide- Making the Most out of Theatre Intervals

A Guide: Making the Most out of a Theatre Trip

In all your years of theatre-going, have you ever considered how you can enhance your next trip? If planned wisely, your next trip could see you coming away with an even better experience. Here’s how you can make the most out of your next theatre trip:

Pre-book a table in a restaurant

Why not go out for a meal before the show to help get you even more excited about the upcoming show? To ensure that you have somewhere to eat, especially if you are considering a busy venue like the Sydney Opera House, it is essential that you pre-book yourself a table in a restaurant. If you don’t, you’re going to find it difficult to find any eateries in the vicinity of the area that has any spaces free for you, simply because of the fact that the area will be packed full of other theatre lovers.

By not pre-booking a table, all you’ll do is waste your time walking around looking for somewhere to eat, and you won’t feel relaxed at all. Then, before you know it, you’ll be heading to the theatre without having eaten a thing (and you’ll then have to deal with your stomach grumbling from the moment you take your seat). Be smart in this instance and be sure to get that all-important table booked up using a service such as Quandoo.

Unwind and relax your mind

Taking the above advice about pre-booking a table should be your first port of call for enhancing your theatre experience, as doing will ensure that you are relaxed and ready to enjoy the show but what about during the show? Is there a way to make your next experience all the more better? Watching a live performance can be quite an intense ordeal, and it’s quite easy to step out of the theatre feeling like your head is spinning. In order to let what you’ve already seen sink in, you have to take some time to unwind and relax your mind.

While sat down on your break, you have to resolve to relax. You need to seek to make the most out of it to ensure that you are ready for when the play gets going again. So don’t take business calls, don’t start studying, and don’t do anything that is going to stress you out. Instead, do something that allows you to stop thinking altogether. This could mean accessing Unibet in order to have a flutter on the horses, this could mean putting your headphones in, this could mean reading a newspaper, or this could mean scrolling through your socials. Whatever you need to do to detach yourself from the rest of the world for the time being, do it. If you do, you’ll be sure to re-take your seat in the theatre with a renewed sense of enthusiasm for the part of the performance that is yet to come.

By being clever and taking the time to plan your next theatre trip, you will be sure to improve your theatre-going experiences.
