Fashion Trends for Men for Fall/Winter 2026

You might have thought that pandemic spotlighting of essentials would lead to basic and safe collections, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Maximalism will return in menswear in Spring/Summer 2022 at designer labels Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Vetements.

Men's Fall and Winter Style

Recent market research from the product intelligence company Trendalytics indicates that loud fashion is becoming a more popular means of expressing optimism in a time when consumers have been cooped up for more than a year in loungewear.

We’ve covered everything (except your arms, apparently) from sleeveless garments to the popularity of cut-out vests.

Cardigan Coats

If you live in the UK, you are likely to know that most of the time the weather is too cold for a T-shirt and too warm for a coat. That’s what we pay for living on an island that’s controlled by the Gulf Stream.

It’s good news that fashion’s savvier designers like Peter Miller are this season making coats from cardies. Cardigan coats! Heavy-knit cardigans are what we are talking about.

Forget sleeves

We have been talking about sleeveless fashion for quite some time, so please forgive us for repeating ourselves. Prada and Marni were among the first to show neat sweater vests, while Riccardo Tisci gave his entire menswear collection over to the power of a bare bicep.

In Spring/Summer 2022, sleeveless knits and tailored blazers, as well as biker jackets are expected to be in high demand.

The office life

Designers are expected to revisit the entire office wear lexicon to deliver on the promise of a summer that’s both free and chic by reducing the formality of its blazers, suit pants, shirts, and ties.

Torso statement

Now it’s a trend to show off your torso. According to Allen-Martinez, the T-shirt’s primary function has changed. Instead, it wraps hastily around the body, while Dolce & Gabbana will suffice with a simple swimming cap. Male fashion will be completely fearless next year.

Oversized outerwear

Tailoring is not the only thing that will loosen up in 2022. Throughout winter, we will continue to see slouchy overcoats. Particular attention should be paid to oversize belted overcoats.

Winter menswear is known for its ability to layer, making this trend one to be highly applauded. With oversized outerwear, you can choose from a wide variety of textures and colors under your garments, giving them depth. To us, that’s a good thing.

Fleece

As part of a wider trend in menswear toward outdoor-inspired apparel, fleece is experiencing a revival. In addition to being a popular outerwear item for several seasons, designers continue to incorporate thick-pile retro fleeces into their autumn/winter collections.

The trend works best in smaller portions. Mix and match your fleece garments with other textured fabrics to add another tactile dimension to cold-weather looks. Limit your use of fleece to one garment per outfit to avoid looking like a sheep.

WFH Cosiness

It’s impossible to predict where we’ll be next year, but it’s likely that the Coronavirus restrictions will still fluctuate worldwide. Due to that, house shoes and luxe loungewear are predicted to trend hard this season.

Organize your wardrobe with socks and stocks, jackets, hoodies, pajamas & much more. Clothing that is almost as comfortable as pajamas, but won’t land you in trouble if you have to attend an online meeting.
