Mark Greene Shinola is pleased to announce the sixth installment in our Great Americans Series in partnership with the Ellis Island Foundation, the Statue of Liberty Timepiece – celebrating a universal symbol of freedom, diversity and democracy, the core values of our country.
Offered in both a 47mm Runwell Chronograph and 41mm Runwell, the design of the Statue of Liberty limited-edition timepieces features a concave ring engraved with the words “Liberty Enlightening the World,” the name given to the statue by its sculptor, Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi.
The copper-colored crown, hands and indices symbolize the material of the statue; a gray dial emulates the statue’s pedestal; and a case back showcasing a three-dimensional relief of the torch with rose gold flames completes the look.
Limited to 1,000 pieces, the 47mm Chronograph retails for $1,000 and the 41mm watch, limited to 1,500 pieces, retails for $800. These will be available in late June, just before Independence Day.
