The Berlin Boombox is a creation by Berlin-based designer Axel Pfaender.
He decided it was time for a cool and fun mobile speaker … a sound system you want to show off, like back in the days. It’s a blend of classic boombox style with today’s audio technology.
The Berlin Boombox is made from high quality cardboard and comes flat packed as a DIY kit including all audio components. Assembly is super easy and takes only a couple of minutes. You don't need any geeky knowledge, no glue or tools to build the Berlin Boombox. Sustainability has been an essential part of the Berlin Boombox right from the first concepts. The Berlin Boombox is made of recycled cardboard and can itself be recycled. It only contains a small portion of plastic and electronic waste. The packaging is 100% free of shrink-wrapping, plastic materials and the like. The Berlin Boombox is the most eco-friendly powered stereo speaker on the market!
