Anti-aging products aren’t just for women anymore

When you think “anti-aging cream” or “wrinkle-remover,” you’re probably thinking of a flowery-scented lotion featuring women with flawless skin on every bottle.

The market for anti-aging beauty products has been dominated by women’s products for as long as that market has existed. For the most part, that’s because men haven’t been especially interested those things, but that’s changing. A quick Google search will turn up dozens of brands, some new, some old, that are now marketing these sorts of products to men.

Men seem to be more interested than ever before in preserving their appearance, and the market reflects that. One brand that’s been making a name for itself is hims. They’re more well-known for fairly traditional mens products, like hair-loss prevention shampoo and medication, and treatments for erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, but they have a popular line of anti-aging products for men, too.

Their skin creams do all the usual stuff: hydrating skin and smoothing our wrinkles. They also stimulate collagen production, which helps keep your skin strong, elastic, and resilient.

For a lot of guys, it still feels weird to think about buying and using something like a wrinkle cream or anti-aging lotion. We’ve associated that stuff with women for our whole lives. It helps to know that brands like hims are making these products just for men. The success of the brand means that there are plenty of men out there using these things.
