Sadly we all brought up in a way to become robots. Our mind is always programmed to execute instructions or some kind of SOP. And, if you dare to ask any question, or do something differently, you will generally be looked down upon.

This is one of the reasons why we only focus on doing what others say. The fact is that no one realizes their life purpose without doing their homework. Sadly we love to sit comfortably in our personal bubble – the comfort zone we have created for ourselves.

We’re only concerned with our comfort and this is the main reason why don’t want to push ourselves. This fear of pain, rejection, disappointment and failure is why we get anxious at the thought of facing life’s challenges and obstacles. You’d want to procrastinate pretty much every day.

Remember that majority of our problems are caused by the annoying personal bubble including frustration and disappointment in find our life purpose.

So how do I Discover “What’s My Purpose?”

Find a comfortable spot in your home to perform this simple exercise.

Yes, all you need is a piece of paper and of course, your favorite pen to write down answers to the following questions:

  1. ​What do you think is the real purpose of your life?
  2. What goals do you want to achieve?
  3. Have you put together goals or objectives for yourself in let’s say six months, one year, five years and even ten years?
  4. What motivates you to push harder?
  5. What is your source of motivation and encouragement when life pulls you down?

This is it – wasn’t it easy? If you thought you had to answer lengthy or complicated or fancy questions, relax and take a deep breath.

Interestingly, that faint voice inside your head would have answered all questions pretty quickly.

After, you only had to talk to your real inner self and find the answers.

Here’s a friendly reminder. You can write down whatever comes to your mind without feeling guilty or judging yourself.

Also, there’s no need to filter or train your thoughts at this stage. Even if you write down things like ‘I want to become healthy’ just give it a go.​

Stop Over-thinking!

Half-way through the exercise, you may decide to quit.

After all, why are you doing this exercise in the first place! Well, you have to get closer to the goal that evokes your strongest emotions and resonates with the depth of your soul because this is your true purpose in life.

Don’t be frustrated if you feel tired after the first couple of questions and can’t continue.

Just keep fine-tuning your answers until you feel everything about it is right.

But what’s My Purpose Exactly?

Your life’s purpose is there inside you waiting to be uncovered. When you discover your true purpose in life, you will see things from a less self-centered approach.

You will realize that life isn’t about making everyone happy or fulfilling our own empty temporary pleasures.

There’s more to purpose in life than trying to meet our selfish pleasures.

Remember, your real purpose is to make the world a better place. See how you can control your mind, your body, your daily actions, and habits to create something that will benefit those around you.

You can even think about the pain and suffering of other people and figure out ways to resolve them.
