How to Tell If Your Partner is Cheating

Tell If Your Partner is Cheating

How do you know if your partner or spouse is cheating on you? Usually, if you are asking this question, you already have your suspicions. The signs of cheating will look different in each relationship, but there are some common trends that tend to crop up around infidelity. If your gut tells you that your partner is cheating, then chances are that you are right. However, you might want to dig a little deeper and find something that confirms your suspicions before you confront your partner about their behavior. So, what should you look out for?

Dating Site Use

Signing up for an online dating site or app is becoming an increasingly more common method of cheating. You’re in a relationship and you’re faithful to your partner, so there’s a low risk that you’re going to find them on the site. And, many people cheat but don’t use their real names or photographs of themselves on dating sites so that they won’t be found out by single friends and family members. So, how do you find out if your spouse or partner is using an online dating site? Luckily, you can find online dating records using sites like Public Records Reviews. You can find online dating records here at Public Records Reviews using your partner’s name, email address, or phone number and see if they have signed up to any online dating services recently. Even if they have used a fake name, if they have used their real email address, you may still be able to find some information.

They’re Paying More Attention to Their Appearance

If your partner has suddenly started paying more attention to their appearance than usual, it could be a sign that they are trying to appear more attractive to somebody. Of course, it could simply be that they are trying to better themselves, boost their self-confidence, or even look more attractive to you, so don’t assume that your partner has started cheating just because they want to eat a healthier diet or have recently joined the gym. However, if your partner looks the same around you but significantly better for certain social events or work than usual, something might be amiss.

Secretive Use of Electronics

People who are cheating tend to use electronic devices like computers and phones more frequently than before, and they also tend to guard them much more proactively. If your partner has suddenly started putting their phone in their pocket everywhere that they go when they used to leave it laying around, or their computer requires a password all of a sudden that it has never required before, that’s not a good sign. Similarly, it’s also a red flag if your partner suddenly starts deleting their texts, emails, and browser history every day.

They Go Off the Grid

If your partner is cheating on you, they will be less likely to answer your texts and calls. While everyone is different and some people might genuinely just be slow at replying or have actually fallen asleep, if this is out of character for your partner then you might have cause for concern. The same goes for if they are suddenly working late, in meetings, driving, or taking business trips much more often than usual – especially if they haven’t just started a new job that might require these things. Even if your partner is working late or on a business trip, they shouldn’t be completely unreachable.

Changes to the Sex in Your Relationship

Both having more or less sex than usual in your relationship can be a sign of cheating. Sometimes, less sex in the relationship occurs because your partner is more focused on somebody else, while in some relationships, there’s more sex because they’re trying to cover the cheating up or feeling guilty about it. Feeling less emotionally connected during sex could also be a sign that they are cheating, or perhaps they are suddenly doing something new during sex which could be a sign that they’re learning new things outside of your relationship.

Hostility Towards the Relationship

Most cheaters will come up with ways to rationalize their behavior in their own minds, and one of the most common ways that they do this is by pushing the blame onto their partner. They might tell themselves that you don’t look the same as you did when they first met you or married you, you’re not adventurous enough in the bedroom, or you don’t appreciate them, and use these reasons to justify why they deserve to have some fun elsewhere. Often, these justifications will manifest themselves in judgmental and hostile relationships towards you and the relationship. If all of a sudden, your partner is bothered by certain things that you do or nothing you do seems to be right, it could be a sign that they are cheating.

Nobody likes to think that their partner is cheating on them, but if you have a gut feeling that won’t go away, keep your eye out for these signs.
