Different Ways That Men and Women React to CBD Products

CBD Products

Over recent years, CBD has become a very popular choice with both men and women of many ages and from a wide range of backgrounds. CBD products from the likes of Fivecbd have proven very effective for a wide range of issues and have helped to improve quality of life for many of those who have used them.

People can enjoy all sorts of benefit from using CBD products. This includes a reduction in anxiety levels, aiding sleep, helping with relaxation, easing pain and inflammation, and lifting mood, to name but a few. But does CBD impact men and women differently, and if so why? This is something we will look at more closely in this article.

The Impact on Men

So, how does CBD affect men as opposed to women? Well, one thing to note is that the effect of CBD on men doesn’t appear to be as strong as women. Of course, this can vary between individuals, but in general the impact of these products tends to be a little weaker with men than women. In addition, men are more likely to experience side effects, although it is worth noting that side effects in either gender are very rare.

While the lesser impact of CBD on men may seem like a big issue, it could simply be a matter of increasing the dosage. For example, when it comes to calories and fat consumption, the recommended amounts are different to men compared to women. In the same way, men may need to have an increased dosage of CBD in order to experience the same effects as women.

CBD can also act as something of an aphrodisiac for men, as it causes a temporary spike in testosterone levels. However, this is a short-term effect.

The Impact on Women

Compared to men, CBD tends to be more effective on women, and this is because of their levels of estrogen. The effects of CBD can be linked directly to the menstrual cycle, and women tend to be far more sensitive to the effects of CBD a day or two before their period because of the spike in hormone levels. The good news is that CBD acts as a great painkiller, which means that it can very effectively relieve menstrual cramps for women.

In addition, CBD can impact other areas that are also affected by estrogen levels such as mood and libido. Both of these can be negatively affected by hormone issues during ovulation but using CBD products can positively impact both mood and libido, thus counteracting the hormonal effects. This can make it particularly beneficial when taken around the time of a period.

Affects by a Variety of Factors

The difference in the impact of CBD products between men and women can be down to a number of factors. This includes the encocannabinoid system, genetics, and even their lifestyle. This includes fitness levels, weight, and physical health, among other things.
