5 Accessories Every Man-Cave Needs

Having a perfect place that you can retreat to with your friends to have a few drinks, play a few hands of poker, or watch the playoffs is something many of us dream of. However, it can be a daunting process. You not only have to decorate the space properly and make it comfortable, but you also need to have all the amenities necessary to have a great time. Let’s take a look at some of the accessories every man cave should have.

A Nice Recliner

Comfort should be a priority when building a man cave, and it all starts with a nice recliner. The first goal of a man cave is to escape and relax. Choose a recliner that is tailor-made for you and look for things such as additional storage, cup holders, and even massage features if you have the money. This will not only ensure that you’re comfortable, but that you don’t wake up with a stiff neck if you happen to fall asleep, which often happens when you fall asleep on a couch.

A Nice Desk and Monitor

If you’re heavy into gaming, then we suggest that you get yourself a nice desk and monitor as well. You should look for a desk that will complement your decor too. Backlit models will add a nice ambiance light to your room. As far as the monitor goes, you need to pick one that is large enough to give your room a real game room feel. It will also make games more immersive.

Themed Accessories

You should also look at what type of games you like the most and use accessories to create a theme. If you’re a fan of online casino games, for instance, you could opt for things like a real or mock roulette table and use green felt wherever you can. If you like old-school games, things like a foosball table, one or a few classic arcade machines, or an air hockey table would all be great additions.

A Great TV

There’s a good chance that your TV will be one of the major focal points in the room. If you’re going to use it to watch games, it has to be big enough for everyone in the room to see clearly. You also have to be careful with things like glare, and ensure that it can be viewed from any angle with no issues. It also needs to have as many ports as possible so you can connect it to the rest of your equipment.

A Nicely Stocked Bar Area

Most man caves should have a nice bar area as well. You don’t have to spend a fortune, however. All you need is a stand-alone bar counter, a small fridge, and a few shelves. Shelving is something virtually anyone can do on their own and you can find bar counters for under $300 online. This will help tie the whole room together and make it feel much more luxurious.

These are all essentials that should be in every man cave. We hope we were able to give you some inspiration, and we suggest that you look at as many ideas as you can before going through with your project.
