Or if you’re feeling sorry for yourself, it can help you to realise how lucky you are. Helping others can also open doors to new career paths or different lifestyle choices.

Improving your lifestyle might mean pushing yourself a little, but it could lead to unexpected, but welcome changes in your life. If you find yourself doing the same things just because that’s what you’ve always done, it might be time for a change.
