The Orbit Card

Technology indeed is in the path towards micro sizing dust speckle and thinning everything up augmenting the discreet factor of each invented technological wizardry. The Orbit Card is no different with the aforementioned description. It’s a GPS bluetooth tracking system that’s thin, sleek, and works very efficiently for a very long time.

We’ve had our hands with the Orbit Card for a couple of weeks and here’s what we have to say about it.

Orbit Card

Functionality

Compared to other bluetooth tracking devices we’ve tried the past months The Orbit Card is our favourite because of its form. It’s perfectly disguised as a common card inside a wallet, unobtrusive and out of the way.

A Bluetooth tracker, for those who are unfamiliar with it, is a tracking device that will alert you whenever you left something you’ve tagged with the device. Other devices we’ve tried gave mobile phone notifications after we’ve walked away from the tagged item far enough for someone to notice that we left it. While yes, those trackers did their job, it’s virtually a bit too late to retrieve it where you left it and end up in a hot pursuit of someone who took the tagged item.

Orbit Card

Bluetooth trackers have a limited range and the Orbit Card ingeniously worked that limitation to its advantage. After walking a hundred feet away from the tagged wallet with the Orbit Card in it, it gave me an immediate nudge notifying me that I left the wallet behind. It specifically gave a notification within the range of 70 to 100 feet which is a far more practical distance to get notifications that you left out something.

The Orbit Card has a very reliable software and a long lasting battery life to match. Charge it after every few months and you’re all set. We’ve never charged the Orbit Card yet since we got it and it’s still doing perfectly well.

The software interface on the phone is also a delight. Setting it up is simple both for IOS and android devices. Set it once and forget about it.

The tracker’s phone interface is also very easy to operate. In case you entirely miss the alert for the first 100 meters, you will get an alert on your phone with the last known location of the tagged item and you can just simply press the “Find Orbit Card” and it’ll start chirping out loudly.

Plus, it can function as a camera button too! Upon opening the Orbit App, there’s a built-in camera function that can be remotely controlled using the blister button on the Orbit Card.
Neat!

The Verdict

It’s the most convenient, user-friendly, and discreet Bluetooth tracker we’ve used so far and we very much love the camera trigger functionality as an addition to its features. We love it!
