Stilla Motion is a tiny and smart motion alarm, designed to give users instant peace of mind. Placed in a bag, stroller or another item of importance, Stilla Motion sends an instant alarm via your phone or smart-watch if something moves when it shouldn't.
...Whereas other notification or tracker devices are triggered by distance, Stilla Motion is unique in that it alerts based on a built in motion sensor. Stilla doesn’t just help you find your things once they are lost – it prevents you from losing them in the first place by instantly alerting you when your items are moved or disturbed without your permission.
Example Use Cases:
- Protect purses in busy restaurants, or luggage while traveling
- Guard laptops or computer bags while working in cafes or other public or open areas.
- Protect items such as strollers, bikes, photo gear, etc. while paying attention elsewhere.
The smart little device was invented by Elin Elkehag in the Summer of 2015 after dreaming about it while learning how to code hardware. Via 27 prototypes made of paint and clay at her mother’s kitchen table, she took the idea from a dream to a patent pending hardware product in 100 days.
Stilla conducted a crowdfunding campaign for Stilla Motion on Indiegogo in the fall of 2016 and reach the funding goal in less than 10 hours. After raising more than $75,000 USD in pre-sales and USD $1.2M in seed funding from Swedish and American Angel investors, Stilla shipped the initial innovation batch of 2000 products to paying customers in 53 countries in June of 2017.
Today Stilla Motion launches in AT&T’s Flagship stores in San Francisco, Chicago and Boston, as well as on Stilla’s own website, wearestilla.com, and will be sold for $39.
